Peak torque has increased to 302 pound-feet, with engineers specifically targeting the 4,000 to 4,600 revolutions per minute range to provide stronger acceleration when exiting corners. Toyota will build the GRMN Corolla at its Motomachi plant in Japan, with production primarily destined for North America, Japan and Australia.
