The 60.0 kilowatt hour battery sits directly behind the passenger compartment, right where a combustion engine would normally live in a true performance layout. That placement helps keep weight centered and improves handling, which clearly mattered to the engineers from day one.
What really stands out is the weight. Despite being fully electric, the SC01 tips the scales at just 3,009 pounds. That puts it right in the same conversation as the Porsche 718 Cayman, and that is not an easy benchmark to match. A tubular space frame chassis, aluminum body panels, and pushrod suspension all play a role in keeping the car light, stiff, and responsive on the road.
Design wise, the SC01 blends retro inspiration with modern simplicity. The wedge shaped profile nods to the Lancia Stratos, while the smooth surfaces and compact proportions give it a clean futuristic edge. At 161.8 inches long, it is only 7.7 inches longer than a Mazda MX 5 Miata, which explains why it looks so tight and purposeful from every angle.
Step inside and the philosophy becomes even clearer. There is a single screen behind the steering wheel for essential driving information and nothing more. No oversized infotainment display dominates the cabin. Instead, you get physical climate controls and even a traditional handbrake. It feels refreshingly honest, like the car actually wants you to drive it instead of manage menus.
SC01 Europe has not confirmed pricing or a launch date yet, but only 1,000 units will be allocated to the continent. More details are expected soon, and if the final product stays true to this formula, it could become one of the most interesting electric sports cars on the market.
