Maserati V8-Powered Motorcycle (5)

This may well be the definition of insanity, that or one hell of a way to make an arrival. Built by French company Lazareth, you know those mad, mad Francs who decided that putting the V8 from a Range Rover in the back of Renault Twingo was a good idea. Its latest concoction takes the 4.7-liter V8 from a Maserati GranTurismo and plops it smack-dab in the middle of a four-wheeled motorcycle. Dubbed the Lazareth LM847, the 470 horsepower crotch-rocket is sure to top even the fastest accelerating hypercars coming out of Geneva this year.

Technically it’s not a motorcycle but a quad. The wheels up front and in the rear work in tandem, similar to the V10 powered Dodge Tomahawk concept from a few years ago. The chassis is designed to help lean into the corners to ease the weight-transfer on rapid s-curves. Seems like a perfect replacement for the “Batpod, “we’d die (literally) to have a go.
