Lexus RZ 600e F SPORT Performance Is Not the EV You Expect

Lexus RZ 600e F SPORT Performance Is Not the EV You Expect

The Lexus RZ 600e F SPORT Performance feels like a clear statement from Lexus that electric performance does not have to be sterile or disconnected. This version of the RZ goes far beyond a simple power bump, bringing meaningful mechanical upgrades that change how the vehicle drives, steers, and stops. It is not just faster on paper. It is more focused everywhere.

At the heart of the SUV is a 76.96 kilowatt hour battery that delivers up to 326 miles of driving range. Power is sent to electric motors on both axles, giving the RZ true all wheel drive capability. Each motor produces 224 horsepower and 268 Newton meters of torque, resulting in a combined output of 420 horsepower. From a standstill, the RZ 600e F SPORT Performance reaches 60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds, which is quick enough to surprise drivers who still underestimate electric SUVs.

Handling the extra performance required serious braking upgrades. Lexus equipped this model with large diameter 20 inch brake rotors and front opposed six piston aluminum monoblock brake calipers finished in blue and stamped with the Lexus logo. These brakes sit behind 21 inch ENKEI aluminum wheels finished in matte black, giving the RZ a more aggressive stance. Lexus also lowered the overall height by 20 millimeters to reduce aerodynamic drag, bringing total height to 1,615 millimeters and giving the SUV a noticeably sportier posture.

One of the biggest changes is the introduction of a new steer by wire system paired with a dedicated steering wheel design. This system removes the mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels, allowing Lexus to fine tune steering response and feedback in ways that were not previously possible. It is a bold move, but one that fits the experimental and performance focused nature of this model.

Visually, the RZ 600e F SPORT Performance stands apart thanks to a long list of aerodynamic and carbon fiber elements. These include extended arch moldings, lower door moldings, a hood bulge, front side and rear spoilers, headlamp bezels, a carbon fiber roof, roof and rear wings, and turning vanes at both ends of the vehicle. The result is an SUV that looks far more purposeful than the standard RZ without becoming overstyled.

Inside, the changes are subtle but intentional. Ultrasuede sport seats finished in black with blue stitching set the tone, joined by the unique steering wheel and updated color accents throughout the cabin. It feels sporty without sacrificing the calm and refined atmosphere Lexus buyers expect.

Lexus developed this model with direct input from Yoshihide Muroya and Masahiro Sasaki, two figures deeply connected to motorsports and high performance driving. Their influence shows in the way the vehicle balances power, control, and driver confidence. This is not a cosmetic special edition. It is a performance focused evolution of the RZ platform.

In Japan, the RZ 600e F SPORT Performance will be offered in either black with Hakugin II and a matte clear finish or black with Neutrino Gray, both highlighted by blue accents. Sales begin in early March 2026. Pricing starts at 12,440,000 yen for the Hakugin II version and 12,165,000 yen for the Neutrino Gray version. Availability outside Japan has not yet been announced.
