Lamborghini Revuelto SV Takes the V12 to Another Leve
Lamborghini has pushed the Revuelto into much more serious territory with the new Revuelto SV, a sharper and more powerful version of its flagship supercar. Limited to just 1,963 examples, the latest Super Veloce model combines more power, less weight, advanced aerodynamics, and racing inspired hardware while keeping the naturally aspirated V12 engine at the center of the experience.
The Revuelto SV produces 1,050 mechanical horsepower and 1,051 pound feet of torque from its electrified V12 powertrain. Lamborghini did not simply turn up the engine to find the extra performance. Engineers focused heavily on the electrical side of the system, including a redesigned traction battery and improved energy deployment.
Battery capacity increases from 3.8 kilowatt hours in the standard Revuelto to 7.3 kilowatt hours. The additional capacity allows the electric motors to deliver their maximum performance for longer periods, particularly when the car is being driven hard.
The results are impressive. Lamborghini says the Revuelto SV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour, or 62 miles per hour, in just 2.4 seconds. It can reach 200 kilometers per hour, or 124 miles per hour, in 6.7 seconds. With the appropriate tires, top speed exceeds 345 kilometers per hour, which translates to more than 214 miles per hour.
Performance is not only about straight line speed. Lamborghini has substantially changed the aerodynamics. The front receives a more aggressive carbon fiber splitter, revised bumper, redesigned underbody sections, and modified wheel wells. At the rear, the standard Revuelto’s active spoiler has been replaced by a large fixed wing designed to generate considerably more downforce.
A Gurney flap also helps direct high pressure air toward the radiator intakes, improving cooling when the V12 is working at maximum output. Lamborghini claims the complete aerodynamic package increases total downforce by 80% while improving downforce to drag efficiency by 60%. The company also says the Revuelto SV generates 10% more downforce than the Aventador SVJ.
Weight reduction plays another important role. The Revuelto SV has a dry weight of 1,772 kilograms, or approximately 3,907 pounds. Combined with the increased output, Lamborghini lists a power to weight ratio of only 1.66 kilograms for every metric horsepower.
Underneath, the SV receives adjustable passive dampers adapted from Lamborghini Squadra Corse GT3 racing technology. Forged center lock wheels and specially developed Bridgestone tires further separate the car from the regular Revuelto.
Stopping power is equally serious. Brembo supplies the CCM R Plus braking system with massive 420 millimeter front discs and 410 millimeter rear discs. A special coating helps distribute heat more evenly and reduces the need for a traditional warmup period. Lamborghini says the car can stop from 200 kilometers per hour to 0 in only 110 meters.
Inside, one of the biggest additions is Pilota driving mode. Controlled through a selector on the steering wheel, Pilota gives the driver access to variable traction control, customizable stability and slip thresholds, dynamic torque management, energy deployment settings, and dedicated telemetry.
Production will be limited to 1,963 cars, a number chosen to recognize 1963, the year Ferruccio Lamborghini founded the company. The Revuelto SV takes the already extreme Revuelto formula and pushes it closer to Lamborghini’s racing world, creating one of the fastest and most technically focused production Lamborghinis ever offered.
