Is This the 2027 BMW X5 Rendered Design Reveal
DPCcars has predicted and rendered a few videos predicting what the new SUV might look like from teasers, spyshots and latest information. The upcoming 2027 BMW X5 is shaping up to be one of the most important updates the model has seen in years, and even from early glimpses, it is clear that BMW is taking a bold step forward while still keeping the DNA that made the X5 so popular.
From the front, the design looks sharper and more aggressive than before. The signature kidney grille appears more refined, while the headlights are slimmer and more technical, giving the SUV a futuristic presence without going too far into concept territory. It feels like BMW is blending its current design language with hints of what we are seeing on newer electric models.
Along the sides, the proportions remain familiar, which is a smart move. The X5 still looks like a proper luxury sport utility vehicle, but cleaner surfacing and subtle character lines give it a more modern and premium feel. The rear end is where things get especially interesting, with slim horizontal lighting and a wider stance that makes the vehicle look lower and more planted on the road.
Under the surface, the 2027 X5 is expected to offer a wide range of powertrains. A 3.0 liter turbocharged inline six cylinder engine will likely serve as the foundation, producing close to 394 horsepower. A more powerful 4.4 liter twin turbocharged V8 should continue for performance models, while plug in hybrid variants are expected to deliver improved electric driving range of around 50 to 70 miles. There is also strong indication that a fully electric iX5 version will join the lineup.
Overall, this next generation X5 feels like more than just an update. It looks like BMW is preparing this model to lead across gasoline, hybrid, and electric segments all at once.
