Is Infiniti Bringing Back the Q60 Coupe With V6 Power

Infiniti may have quietly stepped away from the Q60 coupe, but the idea of its return refuses to fade. With recent reports confirming that the Q50 sedan is coming back after being discontinued about 1.5 years ago, it opens the door to something even more exciting. A revived Q60 coupe built on the same foundation could give enthusiasts the performance focused Infiniti they have been missing.

Imagining this new coupe starts with the last generation Q60 as a base, but the design takes a bold step forward. The front end adopts the sharp and confident look seen on Infiniti’s latest models like the QX80 and the QX65 concept. Instead of the split headlight trend, this imagined coupe keeps traditional headlights, giving it a cleaner and more aggressive face. Along the sides, subtle changes modernize the valances while preserving the dramatic window line curve near the C pillars, one of the Q60’s most recognizable features.

The rear is where the transformation really stands out. Slim, full width taillights inspired by the QX65 bring the coupe up to date, while a reshaped bumper and slightly longer rear overhang improve the proportions. It feels familiar, but clearly evolved.

Underneath, the original Q60 rode on Nissan’s Front Midship platform, shared with earlier Infiniti G models. Engine options previously ranged from a 2.0 liter turbocharged unit producing 211 horsepower to a 3.0 liter twin turbo V6 making up to 405 horsepower. The revived Q50 is expected to push that V6 closer to 450 horsepower, and if a manual transmission makes the jump to the coupe, it would instantly become one of the most exciting cars in Infiniti’s modern lineup.

If this vision becomes reality, the Q60 could finally deliver the emotional connection many drivers have been waiting for.
