Insane 952HP Denza Z9 GT Revealed – BYD’s Luxury Super EV Is Here
The 2025 BYD Denza Z9 GT is not just a luxury vehicle—it is a bold statement in design, performance, and innovation. As Denza’s new flagship, this five-door shooting brake is taking aim at established players like the Porsche Panamera and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and it is doing so with serious firepower and finesse.
Let us start with the styling. Designed by Wolfgang Egger, the man behind some of Audi and Lamborghini’s most iconic models, the Z9 GT is a blend of elegance and aggression. The fastback silhouette flows smoothly from front to rear, giving it a dynamic look even while parked. Sleek LED lighting, flush door handles, and aerodynamic lines show that every detail has been thought through.
Inside, the cabin delivers true luxury. Step in and you are greeted with rich nappa leather, crystal-finished switchgear, and a stunning combination of digital screens. The centerpiece is a 17.3-inch central touchscreen, flanked by dual 13.2-inch ultrawide displays for the front passenger. There is even a massive 50-inch augmented reality head-up display. It does not stop there—rear passengers enjoy two refrigerated compartments and a premium Devialet sound system that turns every ride into a personal concert.
Performance-wise, the Denza Z9 GT comes in two very different but equally impressive powertrains. The fully electric version packs a tri-motor setup, including a 308-horsepower front motor and dual 322-horsepower rear motors, for a total output of 952 horsepower. This version rockets from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 3.4 seconds and offers over 391 miles of range using a 100 kilowatt-hour Blade battery.
If you want power with flexibility, the plug-in hybrid version might be more your speed. It combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 268 horsepower with twin rear-mounted 295-horsepower electric motors. Together, they deliver a combined 858 horsepower and hit 62 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds. It also has an impressive electric-only range of 125 miles and a total driving range of 684 miles thanks to a 38.5 kilowatt-hour battery.
The Z9 GT is not just about power and luxury—it is also setting records. Within just a few months of launch, it became the fastest-selling new energy luxury GT in China, delivering over 10,000 units. That is a serious achievement for a newcomer aiming at such a competitive segment.
In terms of pricing, the Z9 GT is currently available only in China with plug-in hybrid trims starting at 334,800 yuan and reaching 414,800 yuan for the Ultra trim. The electric-only versions range from 354,800 yuan to 384,800 yuan. BYD has plans to bring Denza to Europe, starting with the Z9 GT. The electric version will arrive in November 2025, while the hybrid is set for February 2026. Unfortunately, there are no plans to bring the Z9 GT to the United States for now.
With performance that rivals supercars and an interior that competes with top-tier luxury brands, the 2025 Denza Z9 GT is ready to redefine expectations. If you have not checked it out yet, this is a car you definitely want to learn more about.
