Honda WN7 Electric Motorcycle Is Now Rolling Into Europe

Honda has officially taken an important step into the electric motorcycle market. After first introducing the concept nearly 2 years ago, the company has begun delivering its first full size electric motorcycle, the WN7, to dealerships across Europe. It marks a significant milestone for one of the world’s biggest motorcycle manufacturers and gives riders their first chance to experience Honda’s vision for battery powered performance.

The WN7 traces its roots back to the EV Fun Concept that Honda revealed toward the end of 2024. While the production motorcycle stays true to that original design, it arrives with a focus on everyday riding instead of chasing extreme performance numbers. Honda appears to be targeting riders who want a practical electric motorcycle with premium components and familiar handling rather than an outright superbike.

Power comes from a 9.3 kilowatt hour lithium ion battery that forms part of the motorcycle’s aluminum frameless chassis. Instead of simply mounting the battery inside the frame, Honda uses it as a structural element, helping improve rigidity while reducing unnecessary weight. According to Honda, a fully charged battery delivers up to 87 miles, or 140 kilometers, of riding range under the company’s testing conditions.

Charging is reasonably convenient for daily use. When connected to a direct current fast charger, the battery can recharge from 20 percent to 80 percent in around 30 minutes. Riders using a standard home charger should expect a full charging session to take around 3 hours, making overnight charging an easy option.

The electric motor produces 67 horsepower and 100 Newton meters of torque. Those figures allow the WN7 to reach a top speed of approximately 80 miles per hour, or 129 kilometers per hour. While those numbers may not compete with some of the high performance electric motorcycles already available, Honda seems to be prioritizing smooth power delivery, reliability, and accessibility over headline grabbing specifications.

The motorcycle rides on premium hardware that includes a Showa suspension system with 43 millimeter upside down front forks and a Pro Arm rear swingarm equipped with a cantilever mono shock. Braking duties are handled by Nissin components, while riders can select from 4 different riding modes to tailor throttle response and power delivery for varying road conditions.

The WN7 weighs 478 pounds and features a seat height of 800 millimeters, giving it dimensions that should feel familiar to many riders moving from conventional middleweight motorcycles. Honda is also offering a reduced power 11 kilowatt version for European riders with an A1 motorcycle license, allowing newer riders to enter the electric motorcycle market.

Pricing starts at £12,999 in the United Kingdom, which converts to roughly $17,400 at current exchange rates. That places the WN7 among premium electric motorcycles, and its success will likely depend on whether buyers value Honda’s reputation for quality, reliability, and engineering over outright performance figures.

Although many enthusiasts in the United States are already asking when the WN7 will arrive, Honda has not announced any plans for the American market. Differences in charging infrastructure, certification requirements, and market demand could delay its arrival. For now, Europe will be the first real test of whether Honda’s first full size electric motorcycle can convince riders that the future of motorcycling is electric.
