Bugatti Fly Bug One Of One Hypercar Inspired By Nature

Bugatti Fly Bug One Of One Hypercar Inspired By Nature

Bugatti is taking its already exclusive world of custom builds even further with a one of a kind version of the W16 Mistral, known as the “Fly Bug.” This car is not just another special edition, but part of a very personal collection developed alongside a long time Bugatti collector. It joins a small group of 4 cars that all share a common theme inspired by nature, yet each one stands on its own with a distinct identity.

For this creation, the focus turns to the elegance of a dragonfly. The idea was to capture the lightness and intricate beauty of its wings and movement. Working closely with Frank Heyl, the design direction took shape through a detailed collaboration that blends artistic vision with engineering precision.

The exterior immediately stands out thanks to a flowing ellipse pattern that stretches across the body. As it moves toward the rear, the pattern tightens and gradually blends into darker air intakes, giving the car a sense of motion even when it is standing still. The custom “Dragonfly Blue” finish shifts between blue and turquoise depending on lighting, adding another layer of visual depth that feels alive in different conditions.

Inside, the craftsmanship becomes even more impressive. A newly developed layered material combines patterned leather with Alcantara, creating a subtle three dimensional effect. The same ellipse theme continues across the cabin, carefully adapted to each surface. Even small details, like integrating the Bugatti Macaron badge into the pattern, required extreme precision.

This is not just a car. It is a rolling piece of art that reflects how far Bugatti can push personalization when creativity and engineering come together.
