BMW M235i with BMW M Performance Accessories On A Race Track – Video

With an impressive 326 PS at its disposal, the lightweight & nimble BMW M235i accelerates & sounds just like a true sports car does. Get some M Performance Accessories as well, & you’ll be turning heads in no time.

Getting into a relatively lightweight (3,372 lbs) M235i & going down a canyon road or even better, a race track, is exactly what this type of car was made for. You’ve got plenty of power considering the lack of weight & 450 Nm (331 lb-ft) of torque available from just 1,300 rpm. Again, plenty of low-range pull for this type of car.

In a straight line, you’ll hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5 seconds flat driving a manual BMW M235i. Go for the 8sp automatic &you can knock another 0.2 seconds off that sprint time, while the xDrive system will knock 0.4 seconds off. That’s right, 4.6 seconds is all it takes for this car to hit the 100 km/h mark – on paper, you’d actually need a Cayman GT4 to outrun it, since the GTS PDK still wouldn’t do the trick.

So now let’s say that you’re dead set on this car but want to do something special with its appearance. Well, this is where M Performance Accessories come in. You can select from a range of components that will enhance not just the looks of the car (aerodynamics, cockpit) but also the performance (drivetrain, chassis).

If you want to make the ultimate statement behind the wheel, you’d probably need the Alcantara steering wheel with carbon trims & race display. It may look silly to your wife, since there aren’t a lot of practical applications for it as a day to day feature, but head on over to the track & you’ll definitely appreciate it.

As for that great exhaust note you hear in the video, well that’s also tuned not only to provide you with a more aggressive soundtrack, but also to reduce exhaust back-pressure.
