BMW i3 Touring Rendered Based on Camouflaged Prototypes
The upcoming 2027 BMW i3 Touring has already generated plenty of excitement after camouflaged prototypes were spotted testing on public roads. Although BMW continues to hide the final design, the team at DPCcars created a realistic prediction that shows what the electric sport wagon could look like when it finally arrives.
Inspired by BMW’s upcoming Neue Klasse styling, the rendering features a clean front end, slim headlights, flush door handles, and a long roofline that gives the Touring a sporty yet practical appearance. Finished in matte gray, the design combines modern styling with the versatility that Touring models have been known for over the years.
Beyond the exterior, the 2027 BMW i3 Touring is expected to ride on BMW’s dedicated Neue Klasse electric platform with an advanced 800 volt electrical system. Industry predictions suggest battery options capable of delivering more than 420 miles of driving range, along with ultra-fast charging that could add around 250 miles of range in about 10 minutes under ideal conditions.
Buyers are also expected to have a choice between rear-wheel drive and dual-motor xDrive all-wheel drive models. Higher-performance versions could produce nearly 470 horsepower while introducing BMW’s latest Heart of Joy driving control system, which manages steering, braking, and energy recovery for a more natural driving experience.
Inside, the cabin is expected to feature BMW Panoramic Vision, a large central display, artificial intelligence-powered software, and over-the-air updates. Combined with the extra cargo room offered by the Touring body style, the new i3 Touring could become one of the most practical electric vehicles in BMW’s lineup.
While BMW has not confirmed every specification, prototype testing continues to reveal new details. If the final production model stays close to what DPCcars has envisioned, the 2027 BMW i3 Touring could become one of the most exciting premium electric wagons on the market.
