550 HP Lamborghini Diablo Roadster With a Gated Manual
The Lamborghini Diablo is already one of the wildest supercars of the 1990s, but Eccentrica has found a way to make it even more dramatic. The Italian company has revealed the Eccentrica V12 Roadster, an open-top Diablo restomod that combines classic Lamborghini character with modern engineering.
At its heart is a heavily reworked 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V12 producing 550 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. Power goes to the rear wheels through a 6-speed gated manual transmission, giving drivers the kind of mechanical experience that has almost disappeared from modern supercars. Eccentrica claims the Roadster can accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 3.8 seconds and reach 208 miles per hour.
Removing the roof required significant engineering changes. Carbon fiber reinforcements were added to maintain structural rigidity, while the aerodynamics were redesigned to control airflow around the open cabin. The Roadster also receives a wider track, revised suspension geometry, semi-active dampers, hydraulic steering, and modern Brembo brakes.
The cabin mixes old-school character with premium modern materials, including Connolly leather, Alcantara, anodized finishes, and exposed carbon fiber. More than 3,500 bespoke components are developed as part of Eccentrica’s extensive transformation.
The Eccentrica V12 Roadster will make its public debut on August 14 at The Quail during Monterey Car Week. Production is limited to only 19 examples, making this roofless, manual V12 machine one exceptionally rare interpretation of the legendary Lamborghini Diablo.
