451PS BMW 1M Coupe by OK-Chiptuning

451PS BMW 1M Coupe by OK-Chiptuning

The German tuner specialists at OK-Chiptuning have extracted a massive power package for the highly desirable and collectible BMW 1-Series M Coupe.

Gone but certainly not forgotten, the limited edition BMW 1-Series M Coupe remains one of the most desirable modern performance BMWs and now it has been brought back to life by OK-Chiptuning with a power kit package for the twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine.

In stock form, the engine puts out 340 PS (250 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque, but now it has been modified to deliver a massive 451 PS (332 kW) and 714 Nm (527 lb-ft).

The additional horsepower was possible after installing a custom built intercooler and downpipes from Wagner Tuning, an Eisenmann performance exhaust system along with a Sachs clutch Performance details have not been disclosed, but obviously the output hike has made this 1-Series M Coupe faster compared to the standard car which needs 4.9 seconds for the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint.

BMW electronically limited the little BMWs top speed to 155 mph (250 km/h), but OK-Chiptuning has decided to remove the governor, but they don’t say anything about the car’s top speed at this time.

Aside from extracting more power in the high-performance coupe, the BMW tuner has installed Schmidt CC-Line 20-inch wheels wrapped around in 245/30 ZR20 front and 295/25 ZR20 rear tires.

It also comes with carbon fiber side mirror covers, rear spoiler lip, H&R coilover set along with an attractive M Performance steering wheel, and matching  selector level and pedal set.
