Porsche is continuing to push the limits of the upcoming 2027 Porsche 911 GT3 RS as engineers put another prototype through demanding laps at Germany’s famous Nürburgring. Although the car remains partially disguised, the latest test sessions are revealing more than just styling updates. The biggest talking point has become the sound coming from the rear of the prototype, with many enthusiasts noticing a different character compared to the current model.
Recent videos recorded around the circuit capture the prototype attacking corners with impressive speed while producing an exhaust note that immediately stands out. At idle, the engine sounds deeper and more aggressive than the current 911 GT3 RS. As the driver pushes harder, the familiar high revving flat 6 engine still delivers the sharp mechanical scream that Porsche fans have come to love, but there are subtle differences throughout the rev range that have sparked plenty of discussion.
