Mitsubishi is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with a familiar name that is returning in a completely different form. The all new 2027 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback has been revealed as a compact electric crossover, bringing a fresh design while sharing its foundations with the latest Nissan Leaf.

At first glance, the Eclipse Sportback carries its own personality. The front end features Mitsubishi’s signature Triple Diamond emblem prominently displayed on the nose, along with a unique interpretation of the lighting design. Slim daytime running lights stretch across the front, while a redesigned bumper gives the vehicle a more aggressive and modern appearance compared to its Nissan sibling.

The rear of the vehicle continues that distinctive styling theme. Instead of borrowing the Leaf’s taillight design, Mitsubishi created a new look with opposing L shaped light signatures that mirror elements found at the front.
