2027 Lexus IS Gets a Surprising New Special Edition

The Lexus IS is sticking around for 2027, and Lexus is giving its longtime sport sedan another reason to grab attention. A new Special Appearance Package based on the IS 350 F Sport will be offered in North America, with production limited to just 350 units.

The biggest visual change is the new Envious exterior color, a deep green finish that gives the IS a distinctive appearance. Lexus pairs the paint with 19-inch forged BBS wheels, while green stitching continues the theme inside the cabin. The seats are finished in NuLuxe synthetic leather.

The package is more than a cosmetic upgrade. Lexus includes the Handling Package as standard equipment, bringing adaptive suspension and multiple selectable drive modes. Rear-wheel-drive versions also receive a Torsen limited-slip differential.

Technology gets an upgrade as well. The Technology Package includes Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Change Assist, and Front Cross-Traffic Alert. Buyers also get premium equipment including triple-beam light-emitting diode headlights, a moonroof, a power rear sunshade, and a Mark Levinson audio system.

Under the hood, the familiar naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 continues with 311 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel-drive models use an 8-speed automatic transmission, while all-wheel-drive versions receive a 6-speed automatic.

Pricing has not yet been announced, but with only 350 examples planned for North America, this could become one of the more collectible versions of the current Lexus IS.
