2027 Kia EV3 Revealed With 320 Mile Range and Big Tech

Kia is not slowing down when it comes to electric vehicles, and the all new 2027 Kia EV3 is a perfect example of that momentum. Even as some brands start to ease off their electric plans, Kia is doing the opposite. The EV3 steps in as a smaller, more affordable option, but it still feels like it belongs in the same family as the EV6 and EV9.

What really stands out right away is how much technology Kia packed into this compact crossover. Sitting inside, you get a clean and modern layout with nearly 30 inches of screen space stretching across the dashboard. Two 12.3 inch displays sit side by side, and just below them is a 5.0 inch panel dedicated to climate controls. It feels more premium than expected at this size and price point. There is also dual zone automatic climate control, and rear passengers can recline their seats, which is something you do not usually see in this segment.

If you move up through the trims, the experience becomes even more impressive. Features like a head up display, heated and ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, and a 360 degree camera system bring the EV3 closer to luxury territory without the luxury price.

Under the skin, the EV3 uses Kia’s dedicated electric platform. Buyers can choose between a 58.3 kilowatt hour battery or a larger 81.4 kilowatt hour pack. Charging performance is solid, with the ability to go from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 31 minutes on a fast charger. That makes it practical for daily use and longer trips.

Range is another strong point. The entry version is expected to deliver around 220 miles, while the longer range models can reach up to 320 miles on a single charge. All wheel drive models produce 261 horsepower, and the sport focused version increases that to 288 horsepower, giving it a more energetic feel without going overboard.

From the outside, the EV3 carries a sharp and modern design. Short overhangs, bold lighting, and clean lines give it a confident stance. Wheel sizes range from 17 inches up to 19 inches depending on the trim, helping it look more aggressive when fully equipped.

Inside, Kia made smart use of space. The rear seats split 60/40, there is storage under the floor, and even a small front trunk adds extra practicality. Little details like retractable cupholders help maximize usable space, which makes a real difference in everyday driving.

For those who want a bit more excitement, the EV3 GT brings a sportier personality. It gets a revised suspension setup, sharper steering tuning, and unique styling elements like special wheels and bold brake accents. The interior also gets sport seats and distinctive trim that sets it apart from the rest of the lineup.

Pricing has not been officially confirmed yet, but expectations suggest it could start somewhere in the mid 30,000 dollar range and climb toward 50,000 dollars for the top version. With a launch planned for later in 2026, this is shaping up to be one of the most interesting compact electric vehicles to watch.
