2027 Hyundai Tucson Pleos Connect and Gleo AI How To
The all-new 2027 Hyundai Tucson is bringing a major technology upgrade to the cabin, and one of its most important additions is Pleos Connect. Hyundai’s next-generation infotainment system changes how drivers interact with navigation, entertainment, vehicle settings and connected services, while introducing artificial intelligence directly into the everyday driving experience.
At the center of Pleos Connect is a large primary touchscreen. Depending on configuration, Hyundai offers either a 12.9-inch or an impressive 17-inch display. A separate 9.9-inch slim display sits in front of the driver, keeping important driving information within the natural line of sight. Hyundai has also kept physical buttons for frequently used climate and audio functions, which should make basic adjustments easier while driving.
Pleos Connect is built on the Android Automotive Operating System platform, giving Hyundai much more flexibility than a traditional infotainment system. Third-party entertainment, productivity and gaming services can run natively in the vehicle without relying entirely on smartphone mirroring. The system also supports over-the-air software updates, allowing Hyundai to add features and make improvements after the vehicle leaves the dealership.
The interface introduces smartphone-like controls, including 3-finger gestures and an expansive single-screen mode. On the available 17-inch display, drivers can enlarge an application or use a split view to keep navigation and other information visible at the same time.
Perhaps the most interesting part is Gleo artificial intelligence. Instead of forcing the driver to remember specific voice commands, Gleo is designed to understand natural conversation and context. A driver could ask the Tucson to locate a hiking trail with parking within 30 minutes, for example, and the system can interpret the different parts of that request to find a useful result.
Gleo can also work with vehicle functions, navigation and connected services. Hyundai is designing the system to understand multiple requests and increasingly provide assistance based on the situation and driver preferences.
The important part is that Hyundai has not simply installed a bigger screen. Pleos Connect represents a different approach to the entire digital side of the Tucson. The combination of native applications, artificial intelligence, continuous software updates and physical controls could make the 2027 Tucson feel considerably more advanced without making everyday functions unnecessarily complicated.
For North America, the all-new Tucson is scheduled to arrive in 2027, bringing Pleos Connect and Hyundai’s new digital cabin experience to one of the company’s most important sport utility vehicles.
