The performance wagon segment is becoming more competitive than ever, and Audi has responded with what may be its most advanced RS model to date. At the heart of the RS 5 Avant is a 2.9 liter twin turbocharged V6 engine working together with an electric motor integrated into the transmission. Its plug in hybrid system includes a large battery pack capable of providing around 50 miles of electric driving range under certain conditions. This allows owners to handle many daily commutes using electric power alone while still having access to supercar-like performance whenever desired.
