2026 Mazda 6e First Look | Premium Electric Liftback
Mazda is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the new 2026 Mazda 6e, a sleek liftback that combines modern technology with the driving experience the brand is known for. While the model shares its basic architecture with the Mazda EZ-6 developed for China, Mazda engineers spent considerable time refining the suspension, steering, and braking systems specifically for European drivers. The result is an electric car designed to feel engaging behind the wheel instead of simply focusing on straight-line performance.
The exterior follows Mazda’s latest design language with smooth body lines, a long hood, frameless doors, flush door handles, and an active rear spoiler. A panoramic glass roof and illuminated front lighting signature give the 6e a premium appearance while also improving its aerodynamic efficiency. The fastback shape not only looks sporty but also adds practicality with a large rear cargo opening.
Inside, Mazda has created a clean and upscale cabin centered around advanced technology. Drivers are greeted by a 14.6 inch touchscreen, a 10.25 inch digital instrument display, an augmented reality head up display, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, a Sony premium audio system, ambient lighting, heated and ventilated seats, and a digital key that works with a smartphone. The minimalist layout keeps distractions to a minimum while maintaining a luxurious feel.
The Mazda 6e will be available with 2 battery options. The standard version produces 190 kilowatts and offers up to 479 kilometers of driving range, while the long range model delivers up to 552 kilometers on a full charge. Fast charging allows the standard battery to recharge from 10 percent to 80 percent in approximately 22 minutes, making long distance travel much more convenient.
Safety is another major focus, with features including Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist, a Surround View Camera, Driver Monitoring, and 9 airbags. Combined with Mazda’s signature Jinba Ittai driving philosophy, the 2026 Mazda 6e aims to deliver an electric vehicle that feels enjoyable, comfortable, and confident every time you get behind the wheel.
