Powered by a rally-tested turbocharged 305-hp SUBARU BOXER® engine, the 2018 Subaru WRX STI represents the apex of Subaru precision engineering and motorsports tuning. It redefines controlled aggression with major updates to handling, braking, style, and comfort.
Standard 19-inch alloy wheels, a first on the WRX STI, sport a striking Y-shaped spoke design. The Brembo performance braking system now features yellow-finished 6-piston front and 2-piston rear monoblock calipers along with larger, cross-drilled rotors for improved braking feel and fade resistance.
WRX STI models feature available Recaro performance seats, including an 8-way adjustable power driver’s seat, to create a cockpit that elevates precision driving and ergonomic comfort.
The Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) is updated for 2018 with a fully electronic control system to vary the front/rear torque distribution for quicker and smoother response. The DCCD AWD system also incorporates limited-slip helical front and Torsen® rear differentials.
The 2018 Subaru WRX is a true driver’s car, featuring a 268-hp Direct-Injection Turbocharged SUBARU BOXER engine, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and Active Torque Vectoring. Its suspension has been retuned for 2018 for an improved ride as well as greater stability to enhance its legendary cornering.
WRX Premium now offers an available Performance Package, which includes Recaro performance seats and red-finished brake calipers with Jurid® high-performance pads.
Standard on WRX Premium and Limited models, the newly restyled 18-inch wheels showcase a dark metallic gray finish and double-spoke design.
