To accommodate the top, the 2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster is slightly heavier than the coupe, according to a spokes-man. The power train is the same 4.3-liter, 380-hp V8, with the same six-speed transaxle mounted in the rear. Whether the roadster will maintain the coupe’s 49/51 balance is not yet known, but it can’t be far off.
As with the V8, price is another plus here. Based on the differences between the DB9 coupe & convertible, we expect the V8 Vantage Roadster to sticker for about $120,000 to $125,000.
