Peugeot 207 EPURE Concept |
Peugeot says that it was natural to use a
convertible as the platform here because the open air dirving
experience is most enhanced by the car's quiet operation &
emissions-free nature. Power source is a GENEPAC 20 (20 kW) fuel
cell that is fed by five 15-liter hydrogen cylinders stored at
the bottom of the car's trunk. Fuel cell powers the EPURE's
electric motor (Peak power: 95 hp / 133 lb-ft) & recharges its
50 kW Lithium-Ion battery.
Setup is not performance-oriented, as evidenced by the car's
15-second 0-100 km/h (62 mph) time, but then again that's not
the point. This is a showcase that demonstrates one possible
clean motoring solution in a completely usable package. |
