2009 Jaguar XF engine choices will be a 300 horsepower naturally aspirated car with a 4.2L V8 that will go from 0-60mph time of 6.2 seconds, a new ‘SV8’ flagship with a 420 horsepower supercharged version of the same engine and a 0-60mph time of 5.4 seconds, a smaller 240 horsepower 3.0L V6 and a 210 horsepower 2.7L turbo diesel that takes 7.9 seconds to reach the 60. All the cars are electronically limited to a top-speed of 155mph with the diesel maxing out at 143mph and come with a six-speed auto with steering wheel paddle shifters for the gear changes. The 2009 Jaguar XF rides on a conventional steel chassis, like its predecessor, but utilizes aluminum, composites and magnesium in places to help shed weight. It also shares the older S-Type’s 2909mm wheelbase, plus its double wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension set-up. Kerb weight measures in at 1749kg for the naturally aspirated V8 and tops out at 1842kg for the supercharged car.
