The Wiesmann GT has always been powered by a BMW 4.8L V8 engine but now there are plans to launch a model powered by the 5.0L V10 engine used in the BMW M5 and M6 M performance models. We could even see the new Wiesmann GT as early as next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Weighing just 1,250kg, a Wiesmann GT packing the 507 horsepower V10 engine would offer a significant leap in performance when compared with the 362 horsepower currently available. Expect performance to better the current car’s 0-100km/h time of 4.6 seconds and top speed of 280km/h.
