Under the hood is the 2008 Mercedes CL65 AMG 6.0-liter, twin-turbo V-12 with 604 horsepower, mated to an AMG Speedshift five-speed automatic transmission with the expected Sport, Comfort, & Manual settings, & shift paddles on the steering wheel. Per usual, top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph. Ever-conservative Mercedes-Benz claims 0 to 60 mph takes 4.4 seconds, about the same as the SL65, but we can likely get it done in the high threes. The CL600’s puny little 5.5-liter twin-turbo V-12 makes only 510 horses, but for $147,575, that is about all you can expect. For the 2008 Mercedes CL65 AMG, don’t plan on much change back from $200,000.
