The BMW Alpina B7 engine is based on the BMW 745i which has a 4.4-litre V8 producing 333 hp. The most important change Alpina has made to the engine is installing a supercharger, which makes the B7 the first supercharged Alpina ever. It also makes it the most powerful to date. It produces 470 hp and has a torque of 650 NM. The gearbox is a six-speed automatic with Switch-Tronic. 0-100 km/h is passed after 5.5 seconds and the top speed will be more than 290 km/h.
