The the McLaren F1 has a maximum speed of 386.403 km/h (240.1 miles per hour) the fastest road-certified series vehicle of the world, until this record was over-bid by the Koenigsegg CC8S with 390 km/h. In August 2005 the Bugatti Veyron beat the F1 also with over 400km/h to replace three of the record list. The maximum speed of the McLaren F1 LM was determined on the Volkswagen test track in Ehra Lessien, Lower Saxony. McLaren developed five prototypes of the F1, before the year 1994 when the first McLaren F1 was built. |
