Woman Reunited With Stolen 1972 Corvette Stingray After 43 Years – Video

We love feel good stories of people reunited with their old missing vehicles, especially if they had been stolen. This latest story is really awesome: how many people would expect to get their beloved stolen car back after 43 years?

Well, it did happen to a nice lady named Terry Dietrich, who has recently been reunited with her dream American sports car 43 years after it had been stolen. When she was only 19, Terry bought a brand new 1972 Corvette C3 Stingray with money from her first job.

Unfortunately, her Corvette was stolen only six months later from her place of work parking lot. Needless to say, as time went by, her hopes of recovering her beloved Vette vanished. Fast forward to 2015 and a North Carolina vehicle restorer who bought a 1972 Corvette Stingray noticed that the VIN number on the title didn’t match the one stamped on the body and motor.

This is how the Corvette was found and, with a little help from Dietrich’s insurance company, she got her Corvette C3 back.
