This is why Car Dealerships Are the Worst – Video

This is why Car Dealerships Are the Worst – Video

While a few years ago the trends saw comedians talking about their cars, it seems the industry wants to bring something new on top of guys like Jay Leno or Jerry Seinfeld sharing their automotive fantasies with us. The latest trend in the fun-making business seems to involve exposing the Pandora’s box that sits buried in the foundation of every dealership.

Comedy shows targeting car dealers is the latest trend, and we’re back on topic to bring you the newest episode of this kind.

The aptly-named Adam Ruins Everything saga has now zoomed in on our beloved automotive realm. This is a kingdom that sometimes seems ruled by the dealers, with the people having long dreamed about making their own justice.

However, since carmakers themselves sometimes experience serious issues with their dealers, these middle men are more powerful than it might seem to an untrained eye. Then again, there’s no shield that can cope with the comedy weapon, so here we are, talking about the latest battle.

For those of you who are not familiar with Adam Conover’s show, here’s the official description: employs a combination of comedy, history and science to dispel widespread misconceptions about everything we take for granted. A blend of entertainment and enlightenment, Adam Ruins Everything is like that friend who knows a little bit too much about everything and is going to tell you about it… whether you like it or not.”

This is where Tesla comes into play

Come to think about it, this episode of the show could very well serve as a Tesla commercial. After all, we have to give the Palo Alto automaker credit for introducing a dealer-less sales scheme.

Nevertheless, at least five states, including Texas, Arizona, Michigan, Maryland and West Virginia, have passed legislation that prevents Tesla from introducing its direct sales approach.

P.S.: Some men just like to see the world burn. Adam might just be one of them, but, thankfully, it’s all fictional.
