This Dragbike Flip Is Violent (2)

Turbo Drag Bike does a 70 Foot Backflip at the Twist of the wrist.

They build them tough as Comp Bike Champion, Brett Ghedina, walks away from this launch gone wrong on his 7.7-second drag bike: “That’s not what its supposed to do.”

Ghedina was lining up with his supercharged Honda in the opening round of the Comp Bike eliminations at Saturday night’s Maximum Thrust Grand Final event, when the bike sensationally flipped just as he let out the throttle.

Ghedina revealed on social media on Monday what caused the bike to flip.

“In the first elimination round we experienced a wiring-related fault to the boost controller, which i thought would only give me wastegate spring boost pressure,” he wrote.

“Unfortunately it had the complete opposite effect & applied maximium boost when i brought the engine onto the 2-step.(check out my eyes!)

“The rest happened in a millisecond! (check out my eyes!)

“The only injuries to me was a bruised knee, but the bike fared far worse….”
