This could be the new Toyota Prius

Three photos showing what couldo be the 2016 Toyota Prius have hit the internet.
Taiwanese site Autonet shared these photos, reporting they are giving us a first look at the new super popular hybrid model in two models – the Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid and the Toyota Prius Hybrid. If the information is correct, the fuel sipping machine is the standard hybrid variant, while the more conventional styled car is the plug-in modification.
Weighing at 1,280 kg (2,822 lbs), the Toyota Prius will be slightly bigger than its previous one with longer wheelbase and lower suspension. The total weight of the plug-in hybrid version will be 1,350 kg (2,976 lbs).
The new Toyota Prius will be powered by a hybrid system that consists of a 1.8-liter gas engine with 105 PS (77 kW), an electric motor with 90 PS (66 kW), a CVT and a package of lithium-ion batteries. The combined output will stand at around 150 PS (110 kW).
The Toyota Prius PHV will feature higher capacity batteries for a 50 km-run (31 miles) on purely electric power. The average fuel consumption will be rated at around 1.5 l/100 km.
The 2016 Prius in its two version is expected to go on sale in the second half of next year.
