One-Off Ferrari 250 GT

One-Off Ferrari 250 GT

We’ve recently seen prices of older classic Ferraris continue to go sky high. While this 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Speciale isn’t expected to bring as much as this other classic Ferrari do, it’s estimated to go for an insane $16 million dollars.

This one-of-a-kind vehicle started life off as a Ferrari 250 GT SWB but was given a new shape by Giuseppe “Nuccio” Bertone and Giorgetto Giugiaro of Carrozzeria Bertone.

Nuccio later sold it and the Ferrari eventually stopped being sold to a new owner and had one owner for the last 13 consecutive years (1967 – 1980).

After 13 years of ownership and roughly 100,000 miles of driving, the vehicle ended up in the hands of a collector in Mexico which is where its current owner bought it from.

Despite undergoing rigorous restorations the Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Speciale still has its original chassis number, and transmission and engine numbers. The car is set to go on sale this August at Gooding & Company’s Pebble Beach auction.

With its rich history and unique appearance, it’s no surprise that this Ferrari is expected to fetch  $16 million .
