New Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster Has 1,065 Horsepower

Lamborghini is taking its electrified V12 era to another level with the arrival of the new Fenomeno Roadster. While many enthusiasts have been waiting for the company to finally introduce an official open roof version of the Revuelto, Lamborghini surprised everyone by creating something even more exclusive first. Instead of simply removing the roof and calling it a day, the Italian manufacturer developed a dramatic roofless machine that instantly becomes one of the rarest modern Lamborghinis ever built.

The Fenomeno Roadster follows the same philosophy as the coupe version that debuted previously, but production numbers are even lower this time around. Lamborghini plans to build only 15 examples worldwide, instantly turning it into a collector dream before most people even get the chance to see one in person. The design also carries emotional significance for the brand because the exterior color combination pays tribute to the legendary 1968 Miura Roadster. Deep blue paint dominates the bodywork while red accents celebrate Bologna, the historic Italian city tied closely to Lamborghini’s heritage.

At first glance, some people may think this is simply a Revuelto without a roof, but the engineering story runs much deeper than that. Removing a roof from a high performance supercar usually creates aerodynamic compromises, yet Lamborghini says the Fenomeno Roadster remains extremely close to the coupe in terms of airflow efficiency and stability at high speed. Engineers redesigned the windshield and integrated a carbon fiber aerodynamic spoiler that carefully channels air above the cabin. That airflow is then directed toward the engine bay, helping cool the naturally aspirated V12 engine as well as the massive carbon ceramic braking system.

The rear section of the car looks especially aggressive thanks to a huge diffuser and an active rear spoiler that continuously adjusts depending on speed and driving conditions. Lamborghini also found clever ways to preserve the dramatic body shape by hiding structural reinforcements behind the seats inside carbon fiber housings. The result is a roadster that still looks low, sharp, and futuristic from every angle.

The wheel setup remains identical to the coupe, with 21 inch wheels at the front and massive 22 inch wheels at the rear. Lamborghini worked together with Bridgestone to develop custom Potenza tires specifically for the Fenomeno Roadster. Another exciting detail is the manually adjustable suspension system inspired by race cars, allowing drivers to change the vehicle’s ride height depending on the situation.

Performance numbers remain absolutely wild. Lamborghini says the Fenomeno Roadster launches from 0 to 62 miles per hour in only 2.4 seconds. The sprint to 124 miles per hour takes just 6.8 seconds, making it only slightly slower than the fixed roof coupe. Top speed exceeds 211 miles per hour, which is remarkable for an open top supercar carrying hybrid technology and aerodynamic modifications.

Power comes from the same naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 engine paired with 3 electric motors. Combined output reaches an astonishing 1,065 horsepower, officially making this the most powerful Lamborghini roadster ever created. Even more impressive is the fact that Lamborghini managed to keep the weight relatively controlled despite the addition of hybrid hardware and structural reinforcements. Although the company has not revealed exact figures for the roadster, the coupe already weighs an impressive 3,906 pounds dry considering everything packed underneath the body.

Like the standard Revuelto, the Fenomeno Roadster can briefly operate in full electric mode for short distances. However, nobody is buying this machine to drive silently through neighborhoods. The hybrid system exists mainly to push performance to new levels while helping Lamborghini comply with stricter emissions standards around the world. More importantly, electrification allows the company to preserve the emotional naturally aspirated V12 engine that enthusiasts continue to love.

Pricing remains a mystery, but there is little doubt this ultra exclusive Lamborghini will cost dramatically more than the already expensive Revuelto. Considering the rarity, engineering complexity, and few off status, demand will likely exceed production almost instantly. The Fenomeno Roadster also continues Lamborghini’s tradition of building highly exclusive collector models that began with the Reventon and later expanded through cars such as the Veneno, Centenario, and Sian.

What makes this car especially fascinating is how it balances old school Lamborghini emotion with modern technology. The screaming V12 engine, dramatic styling, and open roof experience still deliver the theater enthusiasts expect from Sant’Agata Bolognese.
