Mercedes AMG A45 Sportsland SUGO Race Track Time Attack – Video

Sportsland SUGO is a motorsports facility located in the town of Murata, Shibata District, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. It opened in 1975 and is one of the largest motorsports facilities in Japan, with a total area of 2.1 million m². It offers four specialized race courses – a road racing course, a motocross course, a trials course, and a go-kart course.

The new Mercedes-AMG A 45 extends its ground-breaking paradigms with an emphatic injection of “more”: More Aggressive Styling. More Driving Dynamics. And even more enthralling POWER – 381 horses of it – solidifying its position as the most powerful series-produced 4-cylinder passenger car engine in the world. Breaking the Rules has never been so Dynamic.

Revised with an additional 21hp, bringing the total to 381hp, the refreshed Mercedes-AMG A 45 combines fascinating power output, extreme stability and exemplary efficiency. Zero to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, a top speed of 270 km/h (with the optional AMG Driver’s Package) – both achieved with an impressive fuel consumption of 7.3 – 6.9 l/100 km.

With its completely revised powertrain and improved aerodynamics, the Mercedes-AMG A 45 now offers an even more emotional experience behind the wheel. Daily driving is a pleasure and racetrack driving is sheer exhilaration, supplied via traction and performance from the performance-oriented AMG all-wheel drive, four AMG DYNAMIC SELECT transmission modes and the optional AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension.

The powerful design of the Mercedes-AMG A 45 displays its dynamic design idiom in a most impressive capacity. The sporty proportions are accentuated even further through the AMG front apron in the new A-wing design. With 4 vertical fins and a spoiler lip in the rear apron diffuser, the Mercedes-AMG A 45 is not only easy on the eye, but distinctive in presence.
