This limited-edition flagship saloon shows how tradition and modern innovation can come together in perfect harmony. Limited to only 50 cars, it pays tribute to the long-standing legacy of V12 engines, which have been the heart of Maybach for more than a century. The model made its grand debut on September 23, 2025, at the historic Fort Michelangelo in Civitavecchia, Italy, before an exclusive audience of press and VIP guests.

For Mercedes-Maybach, the V12 is more than just an engine. It is a statement of power, refinement, and prestige. From the legendary Maybach Zeppelin of the 1930s, with its seven and eight-liter engines capable of speeds up to 170 km/h, to today’s engineering marvels, the V12 has always symbolized exclusivity and performance. The new S 680 continues that tradition, combining advanced engineering with a modern interpretation of luxury.

At the heart of the Mercedes-Maybach V12 Edition lies a 5,980 cc twelve-cylinder engine. It produces 450 kW (612 horsepower) and 900 Nm of torque, allowing this luxury saloon to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h ensures effortless cruising while maintaining complete composure. It is power delivered with sophistication—smooth, commanding, and unforgettable.

Inside, the S 680 is nearly fully equipped, offering comforts such as electrically operated rear doors, E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL suspension, active road noise cancellation, and rear-axle steering for enhanced agility. Passengers are surrounded by exquisite materials, digital innovation, and the intuitive Mercedes-Benz User Experience, displayed across up to five large screens.

What makes this Edition even more exclusive is its craftsmanship. Through the MANUFAKTUR program, every detail is tailored to perfection. The exterior features a two-tone paint finish in MANUFAKTUR olive metallic and obsidian black metallic, accented by a high-tech silver pinstripe. This finish alone takes up to 10 working days to complete. Five-hole forged wheels in olive metallic, paired with a special Maybach emblem and a 24-carat gold commemorative medal engraved with the number 12, honor the brand’s heritage.

Step inside, and the exclusivity continues with MANUFAKTUR exclusive saddle brown Nappa leather, high-gloss burr walnut trim, and a handcrafted steering wheel that requires hours of precision work. A diamond-quilted roof liner, golden console inlay, and “1 of 50” badging reinforce the rarity of the Edition. Even the accessories are bespoke—champagne flutes from Robbe & Berking, a handcrafted gift box, and a custom key ring highlight the meticulous attention to detail.
