Dreame Nebula Next 01 Is Faster Than Every Hypercar

Dreame Nebula Next 01 Is Faster Than Every Hypercar

The electric hypercar world just got a lot more interesting, and this time the surprise is not coming from Tesla, Rimac, or Ferrari. A company best known for robot vacuum cleaners has entered the spotlight with a machine that sounds more like a science fiction experiment than a road car. At the Dreame Next event in San Francisco, Chinese tech company Dreame Technology officially revealed the Nebula Next 01 Jet Edition, a futuristic electric hypercar concept that claims performance figures nobody expected.

What instantly grabbed attention was the acceleration claim. Dreame says the Nebula Next 01 Jet Edition can launch from 0 to 60 miles per hour in only 0.9 seconds. That number is almost impossible to believe considering even the fastest production hypercars today struggle to get under 1.7 seconds. Cars like the Rimac Nevera, Pininfarina Battista, and Aspark Owl are already considered engineering miracles, yet this new Chinese concept claims to leave them behind.

The biggest reason for that outrageous performance number is a custom dual solid fuel rocket booster system integrated into the vehicle. According to Dreame, the system reacts in just 150 milliseconds and produces up to 100 kilonewtons of thrust. It sounds more like aerospace technology than automotive engineering. The idea immediately reminds people of the long discussed SpaceX package for the Tesla Roadster, which promised rocket assisted acceleration and hovering capabilities. The difference is that Dreame actually brought a prototype concept to the stage while the new Tesla Roadster still has not officially arrived after years of delays.

The Nebula Next 01 Jet Edition also uses advanced CTP 4.0 battery integration technology. By removing traditional battery pack crossbeams and longitudinal supports, engineers were able to free up additional chassis space while improving packaging efficiency. Dreame also equipped the hypercar with the DHX1 LiDAR sensor system, hinting at advanced driving assistance and future autonomous technology integration.

Even though Dreame has not fully revealed the powertrain details yet, the company previously showcased the Nebula 1 concept earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. That concept reportedly produced 1,876 horsepower and already sounded extreme with a 0 to 60 miles per hour time of 1.8 seconds. Now Dreame is aiming for something even more unbelievable.

Whether the Nebula Next 01 Jet Edition becomes reality or stays a wild concept, one thing is clear. Chinese technology companies are no longer afraid to challenge the biggest names in the performance car world. And if these claims even come close to reality, the future of electric hypercars may become far crazier than anyone expected.
