Car buyer – All New Audi Q7 SUV review – Video

The all-new Audi Q7 looks more like a raised sedan than an SUV and that statement is backed by the fact that it is a whole lot lighter than its bulky previous generation.

Car buyer - All New Audi Q7 SUV review (1)

Impressively, the new Audi Q7 is up to an impressive 716.5 lbs lighter than the previous generation model. And even though its wheelbase is slightly smaller, it actually offers more space in the cabin.

As you’d expect from a high-quality Audi SUV, the interior is beautifully finished and usable, so we’ll focus on the driving part only, as the Audi Q7 promises to be an interesting proposition in performance area.

Carbuyer’s Mat Watson’s advice is to get the more powerful version of the 3.0-liter TDI V6 engine, which produces 268 horsepower and 442lb-ft of torque. It’s a super silky smooth and quiet engine, but if you need to accelerate hard just smash the throttle and you’ll find out that it covers the 0 to 62 mph burst in about the same time as the much smaller VW Golf GTI – 6.5 seconds to be exact.

Another interesting thing to have is the optional air suspension – it will cost you about £2,000, but you’ll get a ride similar to a luxury super sedan. Scroll down and check out the video and see what Watson had to say about the new Audi  Q7.
