The North Carolina Car is finished in Blood Red Dark with black interior, while the Florida Car wears a Hemingway Blue hue with contrasting Sand Beige leather interior.

“We began in 2008 with a vision to offer aficionados the opportunity to re-imagine their 911 without compromise,” said Rob Dickinson, creator and founder of Singer Vehicle Design, ex-car designer and former rock musician. “And now, with more than 40 commissions completed, and a significant global following, we’ve expanded our promise to remain obsessive in the details and keep striving for more innovations along the way.”

The North Carolina Car and The Florida Car, referencing their geographic homes, are based on a Porsche 911 from 1991 and 1990 respectively and feature carbon-fiber body panels, leather interior, Ohlins suspension, six-speed manual transmission, Brembo brakes, and a 4.0-liter engine. Singer says it took the tuning specialists eight to ten months to fully restore the cars.

4.0 liter engine, producing 390 hp [* intended for off-road use only in certain territories]

  • “Our ultimate 4 Litre engine was born from the blueprint of our 3.8L Cosworth engine and has been meticulously developed by the engineers at Ed Pink Racing Engines to create an ultimate incarnation of the normally aspirated flat six. This engine is a monster in the best sense of the word and imbued with heroic levels of torque – around 315LB/ft, and thrilling peak power of close to 400hp. As with all our engines it retains the case of the 964 and employs a bespoke crankshaft, oil pump, pistons, cylinders, connecting rods, cams, cylinder heads, throttle bodies and intake system. Performance is extreme with 60mph and 100mph arriving in sub 3.3 seconds and 8.2 seconds respectively.”

DRIVE AND TRANSMISSION

  • The Getrag G50 units form the basis of the transmission options.
    • These transmissions are comprehensively stripped and rebuilt to exacting tolerances with new components.
    • The ratios chosen for each engine configuration offer an excellent balance between performance, refinement and touring economy.
    • The shift linkage is newly developed and results in an oiled, ‘rifle bolt’ tactility that transforms the shift quality of these robust gearboxes.
    • A single mass flywheel and carbon twin-plate clutch are fitted.

Transmission Options

  • The standard transmission is the 5 speed Getrag G50 unit.
  • A Limited slip differential for the 5 speed G50 transmission is available as an option.
  • Close ratio 6 speed transmission.
  • A close ratio 6 speed Getrag G50/LSD unit is available as an option. This gearbox has ratios specially chosen to maximize the power potential from the engine for ultimate sporting and track use.

INTERIOR

  • The vehicle comes with a bespoke interior that recalls the 1960’s and ‘70’s, the golden age of early car décor. Huge attention to detail has been paid in presenting an interior rich in ambiance and impeccable detailing.
  • This interior treatment can be personalized in a number of different ways through the selection of certain optional materials and fittings. These items can alter the character of the interior towards a luxury or sporting intent or indeed any combination of the two.
