852HP Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat By Hennessey – Video

852HP Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat By Hennessey – Video

With 707 horsepower in stock form, one wonders what a small modification of engine tuning might do to the beastly Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat’s output. The 6.2-liter Hemi V8 is already supercharged, which means there is definitely more room to extract power.

Hennessey is now offering a performance kit package for the Dodge Charger Hellcat, called the HPE850, which raises the output up to 852 horsepower. Translated into more accurate wheel horsepower, it’s more like and incredible 741 horsepower, but it’s still around 100 more than the stock car’s 639 produces.

Modifications are kept simple: new and remapped ECU program, a high-flow cooler air filter, a lower diameter pulley upgrade, a port and polished throttle body and a ported supercharger housing case.

They haven’t officially posted any performance figures for the package yet, but a dyno video was published today.

We’re pretty confident the Dodge Charger Hellcat can’t accelerate that much faster to sixty, even with the extra horsepower . Maybe with some upgraded Super sticky tires, but otherwise it will just be even better at making awesome burnouts.
