2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Is a 600 Horsepower Monster

2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Is a 600 Horsepower Monster

The return of the Super Bee badge marks another major step in Dodge’s performance story. For 2027, the company has taken its already capable Charger Sixpack and pushed it even further, creating a muscle car that blends serious straight-line speed with improvements aimed at drivers who enjoy spending time on a road course. The result is a 600-horsepower machine that looks more aggressive, responds more quickly, and is engineered to stay cooler under demanding conditions.

Power comes from an upgraded twin turbocharged 3.0 liter inline six cylinder engine that now delivers 600 horsepower and 531 pound feet of torque. Dodge achieved the increase by fitting larger Garrett Motion turbochargers capable of moving significantly more air through the engine. The revised setup also changes how the power is delivered. Maximum torque arrives earlier in the rev range and remains available for a much longer period, giving the Charger stronger acceleration whether launching from a stop or pulling hard out of a corner.

That added performance translates into impressive numbers. Dodge estimates the new Charger Super Bee can sprint from 0 to 60 miles per hour in only 3.6 seconds before covering the quarter mile in 11.8 seconds. Those figures place it among the quickest factory muscle cars the brand has ever produced while maintaining everyday drivability through its 8 speed automatic transmission.

Unlike traditional rear wheel drive muscle cars, the Super Bee comes standard with all wheel drive, giving it outstanding traction during hard acceleration. However, Dodge knows many enthusiasts still want the classic rear wheel drive experience. A dedicated button on the steering wheel instantly switches the car into rear wheel drive mode, directing all available torque to the rear wheels for burnouts, drifting, and a more engaging driving experience whenever conditions allow.

The engineering team did not stop with the engine. Keeping temperatures under control became a major priority during development. The high temperature cooling system has been expanded dramatically, while the low temperature cooling circuit now offers more than double the capacity of the previous design. Additional radiators, larger cooling passages, and revised airflow management help the Super Bee perform consistently during repeated high speed runs and demanding track sessions.

Aerodynamics received just as much attention. The front fascia has been redesigned to channel substantially more air into the cooling system while also increasing stability at higher speeds. Functional openings direct airflow toward the extra cooling hardware hidden behind the front bumper, while an extended front splitter and a larger rear spoiler work together to generate additional downforce. At highway speeds the Charger already feels planted, but as velocity climbs, these aerodynamic upgrades help the car remain even more stable.

Grip is another area where Dodge made meaningful improvements. Massive 20 inch forged wheels are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 performance tires, giving the Charger exceptional cornering capability. Behind those wheels sits an equally impressive Brembo braking package with enormous 16 inch vented brake rotors, six piston front calipers, and four piston rear calipers. Whether slowing from triple digit speeds or tackling a winding road, the upgraded braking system is designed to inspire confidence.

The suspension has also been carefully recalibrated. New adaptive dampers continuously adjust to changing road conditions while stiffer bushings, revised spring rates, and a firmer rear stabilizer bar sharpen steering response and reduce body movement during aggressive driving. Together, these upgrades help transform the Charger into a more precise and predictable performance car without sacrificing everyday comfort.

Drivers looking for even more performance can take advantage of several specialized driving modes. Track Mode sharpens steering, adjusts transmission behavior, and fine tunes traction and stability settings for maximum performance on a closed course. Drag Mode focuses on straight line acceleration by optimizing suspension movement during launches, helping transfer power more efficiently to the pavement.

One familiar feature also returns. Torque Reserve builds boost pressure before launch by managing airflow and ignition timing while the driver holds the brake and accelerator together. Once the brake pedal is released, the stored boost is immediately available, reducing turbo lag and delivering a stronger launch off the line.

The Super Bee also introduces Race Prep to the Charger Sixpack lineup. After the engine is switched off, the electric cooling fan continues operating to remove excess heat from the engine compartment, helping protect critical components after spirited driving sessions.

Visually, the new model stands apart from other Charger variants. Fresh exterior colors, including the striking SuckerPunch finish, exclusive graphics, updated badging, and unique trim details give the Super Bee its own unmistakable identity. Inside, specially designed performance seats, larger paddle shifters, and a redesigned leather steering wheel reinforce the car’s high performance mission every time the driver climbs behind the wheel.

Although Dodge has not yet announced official pricing, the 2027 Charger Super Bee already appears ready to become one of the most exciting modern muscle cars. With 600 horsepower, extensive cooling upgrades, improved aerodynamics, advanced chassis tuning, and the ability to switch between all wheel drive confidence and rear wheel drive excitement, it represents a serious evolution of the Charger formula while honoring one of Dodge’s most recognizable performance names.
