2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 Coupe Rendered

As the world gravitates towards eco-friendly vehicles, Mercedes is on the cusp of releasing an array of new models boasting compact, electrified powertrains. One such model in the pipeline is the next-generation AMG GLC 63 Coupe, and we’ve obtained fresh renderings that offer a tantalizing glimpse of its potential design.

These two digital illustrations, courtesy of our friends at Kolesa.ru, reveal the high-performance crossover sporting a full-fledged AMG makeover. The renderings draw inspiration from the most recent spy images of the model, captured about a month ago. Our intrepid photographers spotted a prototype of the AMG GLC 63 Coupe undergoing testing at the Nurburgring, shrouded in camouflage over the front and rear ends. These new renderings strip away the concealment to offer an unobstructed view.

Current intel suggests that the revamped GLC Coupe will outstretch and outspread its predecessor, brandishing a distinctive visage compared to its more modest brethren. The AMG 63 variant will boast an exclusive grille, a reconfigured front bumper with expansive air intakes, broadened side sills, and a belligerent diffuser accompanied by a quartet of exhaust pipes at the rear.

Alas, the striking exterior enhancements will not be accompanied by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 beneath the hood. The AMG GLC 63 Coupe is slated to adopt a 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain, similar to its cousin, the new C63. If the specifications align, this means the athletic crossover could potentially harness 671 horsepower and 752 pound-feet of torque. While the speedy sedan can rocket from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a mere 3.3 seconds, it is doubtful that the crossover will achieve identical results due to its anticipated heftier weight.

The unveiling of Stuttgart’s challenger to the BMW X3 M remains shrouded in mystery. However, given the minimal camouflage sported by the test prototype in April, we anticipate a grand and official introduction in the not-too-distant future.
