2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS Spotted In Detroit

2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS Spotted In Detroit

A brand spanking new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS has been caught in a parking lot in Detroit.

The 6th generation of Chevy’s popular Camaro was unveiled back in May, but it won’t be going on sale in United States until the end of the 2015 while Europe will have to wait until the spring of 2016. A pre-production unit of the SS was spotted by the guys over at CamaroNews.com, giving us a better look at the evolutionary design which has been sharpened up and in this Camaro SS guise it looks substantially more aggressive.

Matching the muscle car design is an equally powerful V8 6.2-liter engine pushing out 455 horsepower (339 kW) and 455 lb-ft of torque sent to the road through a standard 6-speed manual gearbox or an optional 8-speed paddle-shift automatic. The Magnetic Ride Control will be making its debut on the Camaro SS as up until now only the Camaro ZL1 had it and Chevy says this active suspension can analyze the road 1,000 times per second and will automatically adjust the settings of the dampers to ensure a smooth ride just like the top of the line Mercedes S Class..
