The 2016 BMW M2 Coupe has gone into production at the company’s plant in Leipzig, Germany.

Unveiled earlier this month, the M2 features an aggressive front fascia, a revised grille and 19-inch forged aluminum wheels with bespoke Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The model also has front fender vents, widened wheel arches and a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system.

Power is provided by a 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine that produces 365 bhp (268 kW) and 343 lb-ft (464 Nm) of torque – 369 lb-ft (499 Nm) with overboost. When connected to the standard six-speed manual transmission, the car accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). If that’s not fast enough, the optional seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission reduces the time to just 4.2 seconds.
